Engaging the nations and regions of the UK

The Nations and Regions Group (NRG) was a joint team established between the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and the Government Olympic Executive (GOE). It was set up in 2003 as a mechanism for building support for the bid across the UK. Once the Games had been awarded to London, the NRG’s role was to maximise engagement with, and benefit from, the Games across the UK. This micro-report provides an overview of the NRG’s work, key achievements and lessons learned.
