The Olympic Delivery Authority (“ODA”) is a public authority listed under the Act and is committed to its aim of fostering a culture of openness, transparency and accountability. The ODA is also committed to complying with its obligations under the Act.
Under the Act, the ODA is required to give access to information it holds, subject to certain exemptions and fee thresholds. The Act also requires the ODA to adopt and maintain a 'publication scheme', which will provide you with an easier way of getting information without having to make a request under the Act . The scheme lists information that is available to the public and where it can be obtained.
The Act also gives you the right to request information that is not listed in the ODA’s publication scheme. This right of access to information is subject to certain exemptions, for example the protection of commercial interests, confidentiality and personal data.

The ODA has developed a publication scheme, approved by the Information Commissioner, which lists the classes of information made available by the ODA on request, and how to request information in the relevant categories.

If you wish to make a request for information which is not listed in our publication scheme, there are two ways to submit an FOI request to the ODA.

Your request must state your name and an address for correspondence, and must describe the information you want. The Act allows the ODA a period of 20 working days to respond to a request for information.
In the event that the ODA requires longer than 20 days, you will be informed in writing as soon as this becomes clear and of the reasons why an extension of time is required.
If you are dissatisfied with the ODA's response, you can ask that the matter be reviewed internally by the ODA by sending a request to the ODA's Freedom of Information Officer at the address above, stating the grounds for your complaint. A member of senior management will conduct the review and you will be notified of the outcome within 20 working days.
If you remain dissatisfied, you can appeal to the Information Commissioner for a decision on the handling of your request. The Information Commissioner is an independent statutory body that polices the operation of the Act.
Generally, the Information Commissioner will not consider complaints until the internal review procedure of a public authority has been exhausted. The Commissioner can be contacted at:
